The bid is not the price

LotRadar plugs into the auction results page and puts three numbers under every lot: what the car will cost you with shipping and import duties, what it will sell for in your country, and how high it still makes sense to bid.

A real lot and a real calculation, taken from the live system on 11 October 2026. You pick the destinations, up to 4 at a time.

Why it matters

Same car. Same bid. Import duties vary twentyfold.

In most CIS countries, import duty and excise depend on engine size, not on price. A 5-liter engine can turn a promising lot into a hopeless one, and the auction page gives you no hint of it. Here is the same math for a different car: a 2018 GMC Yukon, 5.3 liters, current bid $10,200.

Import duties on a 2018 GMC Yukon 5.3 L by country
  1. Moldova$4,448
  2. Georgia$9,306
  3. Ukraine$11,031
  4. Kyrgyzstan$35,084
  5. Armenia$35,368
  6. Kazakhstan$40,429
  7. Uzbekistan$43,672
  8. Azerbaijan$88,472

$13,652

the highest bid that still makes sense if you resell in the US

−$90,102

if you buy at the current bid and ship to Azerbaijan

2 in 100

lots on a typical results page that are worth opening

The loss is total cost of $104,348 minus a resale price of $14,246 in that market. This is one specific lot, not a typical case: for a Toyota Camry with a 2.5 engine the picture is different: Georgia comes out in the black and Kazakhstan is borderline. The extension shows both just as plainly.

What you get

Everything you need before you bid, in one strip under the lot

The extension reads the page you already have open and works out the whole deal: from the hammer to the resale in your destination market.

  • Import duties at official rates

Duty, excise and fees for eight countries at current official rates. Nothing to enter: the rates are checked against official calculators and locked in with tests.

  • Market price where you sell

The median of live listings for the same car by year, engine and mileage. The card tells you how many listings it is based on.

  • Bid ceiling

Not “what is it at now” but “how high can I go”. The bid above which the deal stops making sense, with the break-even point next to it.

  • A verdict on the results page

TAKE, BORDERLINE or SKIP for every destination. You see at a glance which two or three lots out of a hundred deserve a closer look.

  • AI photo check

Claude by Anthropic goes through the lot photos and tells you which photo shows each damage. When there are not enough photos, it says so.

  • Saved searches with Telegram alerts

Save a search with your criteria and new matching lots arrive as Telegram messages. No need to sit on the results page all day.

  • Your own rates

Your forwarder’s freight rate and your shop’s labor rate replace the default benchmarks. Until you add them, the math uses a range and is marked with “≈”.

  • Repair cost and time

Damage is turned into labor hours and parts, then into money and days. Both scenarios are calculated: sell as is, or repair first.

  • Built for teams

Invitations, roles and shared rates for everyone in the workspace. Each member bids through their own auction account.

New: AI photo check

Claude reviews the photos. Every damage is tied to a photo.

The auction sums up the damage in a single line. Claude, a model by Anthropic, goes through the lot photos and breaks down what it sees by area: what is damaged, how badly, and which photo shows it.

  • Looks at every lot photo, not just the first one
  • Points to the photo that shows each damage
  • Checks what it sees against the damage the auction declared
  • Says “not enough photos” instead of guessing
  • Doubtful cases get a second verification pass
  • Shows how confident the assessment is

Hidden damage is not visible in photos to anyone, human or model. The check saves you time when screening lots, but it does not replace an inspection.

Day to day

What changes when the math sits under every lot

  1. No more manual math

An hour with calculators for every interesting lot becomes a glance at one line. Duty rates are built in and verified, so there is nothing to type.

  2. Colors, not columns of numbers

Green, amber or red for every destination. A counter at the bottom shows how many lots out of a hundred are worth opening. Usually two or three.

  3. Your ceiling before the auction

Not “what is the bid now” but “how high can I go”. They are different questions, and the second one is where the money is.

  4. Compare countries instead of guessing

The same lot can work in Georgia and lose money in Kazakhstan. Both numbers sit side by side, no mental math needed.

  5. Filter out bad lots before you bid

Not after the purchase, when the car is already at the port, but before you press the button.

Data

Where the numbers come from

A tool like this is only as good as its data. So every number has a source, and the extension shows it.

Duties and excise
Official rates for eight countries, collected by us and locked in with tests. Georgia’s rates are checked against the Revenue Service calculator on thirty-one data points; Azerbaijan’s excise comes straight from Article 190 of the Tax Code, including the fuel and age coefficients.
Market price at destination
The median of live listings for the same car by year, engine and mileage in the country you ship to. Not a multiplier on the US estimate: for Azerbaijan that approach undervalued cars threefold. The card says how many listings were used.
Exchange rates
From an external source, twice a day. A snapshot with an implausible jump is rejected: a stale rate is worse than a fresh one, but far better than a wrong one.
Repair cost and time
Damage is translated into labor hours and a parts share of the value, then into money and days at your shop’s rates. Both scenarios, sell as is and repair, are calculated and the better one is shown.
Your own rates
Enter your forwarder’s rate and your shop’s labor rate in the side panel and they replace the defaults immediately. Until then the math uses a range and is marked with “≈”.

Straight talk

Limits you should know about up front

We would rather put this on the front page than in a footnote after you pay.

No promise of profit
Every figure is an estimate with a source and a range. How a deal turns out depends on who else is bidding, what is behind the bumper and what you sell for. The extension answers one question: is this lot worth a closer look at all.
Missing data is never made up
If the engine size is unknown or a rate is not on file, the destination says what is missing and shows neither profit nor ceiling. A plausible number is worse than no number: it looks just as convincing as a correct one.
Market prices are not live everywhere yet
For Georgia and Azerbaijan they come from live listings; for other countries they are still estimated with a coefficient and may differ from the market. The extension says so right on the card.
AI cannot see what is hidden
The model only assesses what is in the frame. Damage behind panels, electrical faults and the condition of the drivetrain cannot be judged from photos. The check does not replace an inspection.
No way around account verification
You work through your own legitimate access to the auction. Sharing one auction account between several people is not supported and will not be.

Install

Five minutes, once

After that the math appears on its own on every Copart and IAAI results page. Nothing to launch.

Download the extension

191 KB archive, version 0.12.0. Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc and other Chromium-based browsers.

One-click install is on its way. Chrome only allows that from its own store, and the listing is in review. Until then it installs from an archive, which has an upside: fixes reach you in minutes instead of after a week of store review. The extension tells you when a new version is out.
  1. Unzip the archive

Into a folder you will keep: the browser loads the extension from there every time it starts.

  2. Open chrome://extensions

Type it into the address bar, then switch on “Developer mode” in the top right corner.

  3. Click “Load unpacked”

Select the unzipped folder. The LotRadar icon appears in the toolbar.

  4. Sign up in the side panel

Email and password, no card. For 7 days you get everything in Pro.

  5. Pick your destinations

Up to 4 at a time. Those are the ones you will see on the results page.

  6. Open Copart or IAAI search results

The strip with the math appears under every lot by itself.

FAQ

Questions and answers

How accurate are the numbers?

Import duties use official rates and on a typical lot come close to the actual amount. The resale price is either the median of live listings or a coefficient-based estimate, and the extension always says which. The hammer price forecast is a guess about the auction, so it comes with a range. Every figure is an estimate, not a promise of a result.

Which countries are supported?

Nine sale destinations: the USA (resell locally), Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. Up to 4 show on the results page at once, and you choose which. Every plan includes all of them.

Is the extension available in English?

Yes. The extension speaks English and Russian and picks the language of your browser; you can switch it any time in the side panel. Calculation notes, alerts in Telegram and emails follow the same language.

How does the AI photo check work?

The lot photos and basic lot details (year, make, model, declared damage) are sent to Claude, a model by Anthropic. It returns a breakdown by area of the car with references to the photos, a confidence level, and an honest “can’t tell” when the photos are not enough. Details: how the AI photo check works.

What happens when the free trial ends?

For 7 days you get every Pro feature and 15 AI photo checks. After that, lot calculations stop and the extension tells you plainly that a subscription is needed. Your account, rates and saved searches stay put. No card is needed for the trial, so nothing is charged automatically.

How do I pay, and why does the email matter?

You pay by card through lava.top: card details are entered on the payment provider’s side and we never see them. Use the same email at checkout as on your LotRadar account, because that is how the payment finds your account. If they differ, message support: the payment is not lost, we will link it manually.

How do I cancel or get a refund?

Subscriptions renew automatically and you can cancel at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Your first payment can be refunded within 14 days, no questions asked, and if the service did not work through our fault, we refund that period. Details: cancellation and refunds.

What if I run out of AI photo checks?

Lot calculations keep working as usual. Checks refresh with each new billing period, and if you need more right now, there is a pack of +50 checks for $15: a one-time purchase, valid for 12 months.

Why install from an archive instead of the Chrome Web Store?

The Chrome Web Store listing is in progress. For now the extension installs from an archive in five minutes, and it tells you about new versions in the side panel: download the archive, unzip it over the old folder and click “Reload” on chrome://extensions. Your login and settings stay.

Which browsers does it work in? Is there a mobile app?

Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc and other Chromium-based browsers on desktop. There is no mobile app.

Can my team use it?

Yes. The Team plan has five seats, invitations, roles and shared freight and repair rates. Each member works through their own auction account: one auction account shared by several people is not supported.

What data do you keep?

Lot data from the pages you open, your account, your rates and saved searches. The extension never asks for or sees your auction password. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Details: privacy policy.
